Editorial & reviews

Yes. Our organic reviews are written at our own discretion and reflect the genuine opinions of whoever wrote them. Nobody pays to influence what we say. If a review was commissioned through our custom order service, it's labelled clearly on the page, but the content still reflects our real assessment.
Mostly by watching what interests us and covering the seasonal calendar. We don't have access to every title, and we don't receive early screeners unless studios specifically offer them (at which point we label the review accordingly). Our team selects titles based on editorial judgment, not promotional schedules.
Clearly and at the top of the article. Any piece where payment changed hands — whether a custom review order or an editorial placement — carries a visible disclosure. We don't bury these labels. If you can't tell whether something is sponsored, that's a failure on our part and we want to know about it.
No. KyotoVibe is a written content portal. We don't host anime episodes, trailers, or any streaming video. We link to external sources where relevant, but all the content on this site is text and images.
We cover current seasonal anime and publish news as it happens, within the constraints of a small team. Our publication pace is honest rather than fast. We'd rather publish one well-written piece per week than five rushed ones. Older reviews remain on the site with their original dates visible.

Orders & pricing

You submit the order form (or email us), we confirm availability and quote a price if it wasn't fixed, you agree, and then our team watches the title and writes the review. Publication timeline is estimated but not guaranteed — it depends on title length and our schedule. Once production starts, the order is non-refundable.
Yes, within 24 hours of confirmed order placement for a full refund. After that window, if production has begun, we can't refund. We'll notify you when production starts so you know when the window closes. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges — each order is a standalone transaction.
No. We're clear about this in our service terms: a custom review order means we commit to watching and writing about the title, not to writing something favourable. Our editorial opinion is our own. If the title has significant problems, we'll say so — and we'll label the review as a commissioned piece regardless of tone.
All prices are in EUR. We can provide invoices for business clients — just request one at the time of order. KyotoVibe SAS is registered in France (registration FR-KV-2021-86333). Contact us if you need specific invoicing arrangements.
It depends on the title. A short film might take a week from confirmation to publication. A 24-episode series will take longer. We'll give you an honest estimated timeline when we confirm the order, and we'll flag it if that's going to slip. We don't publish until the review is properly written.
